Other names from that era that deserve mention are, without doubt, the ONO brothers, champions of the great Japanese colony. Among other wards of the Grand Master CONDE KOMA, out as his disciples the Gracie brothers, especially the time between them, AND JORGE CARLOS GRACIE.

HELIO GRACIE, the youngest of five brothers was the last and most frail to learn this sport. Forbidden by his father to attend school Conde Koma, attended all classes of his brother Carlos Gracie, Rio de Janeiro, and gradually learned, "only to see" the movements and thereby obtained the support of brothers and father to begin training, overcoming illness and weakness. Without doubt, the most virtuous great champion and founder and president of the first Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the STATE OF RIO DE JANEIRO.

It also integrates the small number of students CONDE KOMA, Professor Luiz FRANCE, a true Master of Art, who died happy in the interior of Brazil, for having passed his knowledge, no secrets, your student OSWALDO Faddis, one of the few growers and idealists of this modality in Brazil. It was just the beginning of 1937, which OSWALDO FADDA, donned a kimono for the first time. A year later, France has called for the Master among his student friends who would undoubtedly be a great promise of jiu-jitsu.

In 1942, Faddis, after being authorized to carry his black belt, began its journey through the development of Jiu-jitsu, in Bento Ribeiro, a suburb of Rio de Janeiro, where he was born. Until the creation of his own academy, founded on January 27, 1950. But it was in the 50s that Jiu-jitsu had its biggest boost, thanks to the incessant labor of FADDA Academy of Jiu-jitsu.

In 1943, the family Gracie left the Rio and went to live in Fortaleza - CearĂ¡, remaining there until 1951 when they returned to the city beautiful, which was already underlined the Academy FADDA, which began to introduce this type of fight in the lower classes. Holder, the tireless Master FADDA performed live, with their idealism, an outreach work unprecedented in the history of this type of sport. The constant visits to them at their Academy, the worst kind of evidence (of Brave location and surroundings, humiliated in their conditions of "fierce," with the installation of an academy which aimed to teach the fighting, which deeply hurt his pride to brave), took the Master FADD to promote a weekly spectacle, after closed the only door of the Academy. There, dozens of memorable fights were held and never left a visitor with questions about the supremacy of jiu-jitsu.

Capoeira players were more frequent in their visits and each time they tried their luck, without result, returned with another and another element, but the result did not change, it was always the same, the supremacy of the Jiu-Jitsu.

With this, the Academy has become popular even further, as many Capoeiristas, boxers and types bullies, eventually enrolling as students.
